You don't have to travel very far to experience the best that Donegal has to offer. Seascapes, mountains, forbidding glens, dramatic weather conditions, silent lakes, windswept heather, mystic peacefulness which causes pause for thoughtful reflection - all are there within a stone's throw from the cottage hideaway.

And if you like music - near to the little village of Crolly, just a short distance awayfrom the cottage is a tinier village, Meenaleck, noted for the export of its most famous family who make up the Irish group, Clannad and their equally famous sister, Enya! A trip to Leo's Tavern - Tábhairne Leo - in Crolly is something not to be missed, where the music is loud and long and the Guiness flows freely! - (Leo is late father of some of the members of Clannad and Enya).

We have put two other sections in the site to deal specifically with places to see and things to do, but this section and its beautiful images, will give you a glimpse of the area in close proximity to the cottage - no more than a 10 minute drive, or even walking distance if you prefer.
