Our Irish Holiday Cottage is situated on the North West coast of Ireland, in the County of Donegal. We think it is one of the best holiday cottages in Ireland and we hope you will feel the same way about it when you have been!
The nearest little town (just a couple of kilometers away) is Bunbeg or An Bun Beag (the latter is its official name and means The Small River Mouth) It is a small town in the parish of Gweedore. Officially, it's the smallest townland in Gweedore situated between Derrybeg and Dore.
The area local to us, right on the edge of Bunbeg is known as KNOCKASTOLLER. This in turn sits on the edge of Glenveagh National Park, one of six national parks in Ireland. Glenveagh being a national park, is an area of exceeding natural beauty and encompasses some 16,000 acres in the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains.
Right in the centre of this great wilderness, is the amazingly beautiful, conical mountain named Errigal. It may not be the highest in Ireland, but when you see it, we can promise you that you will definitely fall under its spell and while away many hours just staring at its slopes and how the weather alters its mood.
